Chaquisha Rene’ Williams (Bettis) was born February 16, 1989, in Gary, Indiana to LaRhonda Reed (Bettis) and LeBarron Williams. She spent her early childhood years there, under the care of her aunt and grandmother, LaTonya Bettis and Emma Clark. At the age of 4, she became the big sister of Chyreisa LaMonte Pope.  After Chyreisa’s birth, LaRhonda returned to Indiana to get Chaquisha and they moved to Mobile, AL. The next year, she became a big sister to another sibling, William Weldon Love, III. Chaquisha was determined, growing up, to not let all her hardships affect her. She remained on the Honor Roll every semester throughout high school and received such honors as National Society of High School Scholars, National Honor Roll, Who’s Who Among High School Students, Mobile Rotary Club Outstanding Student, and many more. She graduated May 25, 2007, as the Salutatorian of Mattie T. Blount High School with a 4.13 GPA (3.89 unweighted.) Chaquisha received numerous scholarship offers totaling over $600,000 including a full-rides. She is currently a sophomore with a double major in Speech Communication & Healthcare Administration at Jackson State University on the Presidential Scholarship. All things considered, Chaquisha is most proud that she has been able to endure every struggle that has come her way. She loves MADDRAMA but holds her own S.C.E.N.E. 45 dear to her heart, because they are her main support group. After graduation from Jackson State, Chaquisha plans to attend graduate school to obtain her Master’s degree in Public Health Management and work in a private practice clinic. Last but not least, she wants to start a family and live in California, Florida, or Dallas, Texas.
