Prince Duren is originally from Itta Bena, Mississippi, but is currently a resident of Muskegon, Michigan.  He is a 2009 graduate with a degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English.  He is a Dean's List scholar and as a member of S.C.E.N.E. 25, he served as co-writer of their New Membership Show Rise Above It All. He also served as New Membership coordinator for S.C.E.N.E. 51.  Prince has served as adjudicator for the NAACP Oratory Competition and the Elk's Oratory Competition.  Prince was awarded a rating of Excellent at the 72nd National Association for Dramatic & Speech Arts (NADSA) Conference for his original script A Family Affair (which premiered in March 09.  Prince has appeared in Take Me Back as Medger Evers, Rise Above It All as Malcolm X, Mama I Want to Sing as DJ, New Beginnings as Dumb Athlete, Soul of Black Folks, The Colored Museum as Walter Lee, and Before It Hits Home as Douglass. Prince wants to give all the praise and honor to God because without him NOTHING he has done, currently doing, or will do is possible.  He thanks his mother for forever being his #1 fan who he dedicates everything he does to her.  Prince credits Dr. Mark G. Henderson for not accepting mediocre or average as being his best and helping him believe his true potential.  Prince want to extend a humble thanks to former and current members of MADDRAMA for keeping him grounded and helping to work harder just to be in the same league as them.  He thanks family and close friends for being there for him and believing in him no matter what.  Prince lives by the saying “he is the master of his fate and the captain of his soul.”
