Welcome from the President
I am Avery Evans, the president of MADDRAMA Performance Troupe for the 2018-2019 Academic school year. It was soooo nice to see all the faces that came out to the Informational who are interested in becoming a part of our family.
We are a family, a hard working family at that, and there is a place for everyone who is willing to put in that work. Yes, we house singers, actors, dancers, writers, and poets, and any others who dare to call themselves artists! But we make sure there is also room for the stage managers, publicity people, concession workers, curtain pullers, and anybody trying to move from their comfort zone to their calling. MADDRAMA houses them ALL.
I remember 4 years ago being in the same position you are today: trying to decide if MADDRAMA was the right place for me. And today I can honestly say that I cherish every relationship I have with my brothers, sisters, and these amazing advisors that oversee our organization. And the lessons you will learn on and off the stage you can take with you and use for a lifetime.
So be prepared to put in some work and hopefully we'll see you at the finish line!
